Black history is the study of human past that focuses on people with black skin: things those have done, societies Africa, world events from perspective people, and so on. Nowadays, recovery increasingly seen as important in United Kingdom elsewhere.1 People campaign for its inclusion school curricula; there are documentaries exploring African civilisations, university research programmes devoted to it. The was also deemed by Négritude Movement (a consciousness movement developed Paris), which a central part intellectual context Fanon's work. It perhaps, therefore, surprising find Fanon highly critical Skin, White Masks (Fanon, 2008), négritude writers' attempts recover history. In this paper, I will argue his critique can only be fully understood if we read text adopting an idea Césaire (1995) that, following Jung (2009), called nekyia. All - Termination ( SCP )

We recently introduced the All-Termination(T ) problem: given a termination solver T and a function F , find every subset of the formal parameters to F whose consideration is sufficient to show, using T , that F terminates. These subsets can be harnessed by a theorem prover to locate and justify induction schemes, and are also useful for guiding rewriting heuristics and ensuring their terminati...

Impact of SCP-2/SCP-x gene ablation and dietary cholesterol on hepatic lipid accumulation.

While a high-cholesterol diet induces hepatic steatosis, the role of intracellular sterol carrier protein-2/sterol carrier protein-x (SCP-2/SCP-x) proteins is unknown. We hypothesized that ablating SCP-2/SCP-x [double knockout (DKO)] would impact hepatic lipids (cholesterol and cholesteryl ester), especially in high-cholesterol-fed mice. DKO did not alter food consumption, and body weight (BW) ...

The SCP and Compressed Domain Analysis of Biological Sequences

We introduce the SCP the sorted common prefix, and study some of its properties. Based on the internal representations used by a class of new compression schemes, we show how the SCP table can be constructed using an ( ) max κ Σ + u O number of comparisons on average, and ( ) Σ u O worst case, where u is the size of the sequence, Σ is the number of symbols, and max κ is the maximum SCP value.
